The Vello Bluetooth ShutterBoss app employs Bluetooth technology to establish a wireless connection with the Vello Bluetooth ShutterBoss Receiver, allowing remote activation of your camera’s shutter from a distance of up to 33 feet (10 meters). Photographers engaged in time-lapse photography will find the built-in intervalometer and the option to schedule up to 10 different presets particularly useful, enabling the capture of up to 9,999 shots over nearly 24 hours.

Wireless shutter triggering effectively reduces vibrations, making it suitable for macro, close-up, and long exposure photography. It also facilitates shooting in situations where direct camera access is impractical, such as wildlife photography or capturing fast-moving action sports. The app provides streamlined access to various shooting modes—including bulb, self-timer, single shot, and continuous shooting—contingent on camera compatibility.
